Abstract: In an era of rapid digital transformation and heightened market competition, organizations increasingly rely on innovation teams to sustain growth and remain competitive. These specialized, cross-functional groups are designed to generate, refine, and implement novel ideas across products, services, and business processes. Despite their centrality to organizational success, the literature lacks a consolidated and practical overview, creating barriers for both scholars and practitioners. This paper addresses this gap by synthesizing key insights into the composition, strategies, and challenges of innovation teams, while also exploring emerging contexts such as crowdsourcing, open-source collaboration, and top management team (TMT) influence. We identify the defining characteristics of successful innovation teams, including diversity in expertise, strong leadership, collaborative culture, agile methodologies, and adequate resources. At the same time, we highlight persistent challenges such as resistance to change, resource limitations, unclear objectives, and interdepartmental conflicts. The analysis underscores the importance of team diversity, transactive memory systems, and member familiarity as critical enablers of team performance, while recognizing their potential drawbacks. Furthermore, we examine how team-based dynamics within crowdsourced projects and open-source software initiatives extend traditional innovation models, offering new avenues for distributed problem-solving. Drawing on illustrative case studies from leading organizations, this paper outlines strategies to enhance innovation team effectiveness, including fostering a culture of experimentation, leveraging technology, supporting continuous learning, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Ultimately, by integrating theoretical insights with practical approaches, this study provides a comprehensive framework for understanding and optimizing innovation teams as vital engines of sustainable organizational success.

Abstract: The studies on development induced displacement conducted in the seventies therefore had a selective character. During the last two decades we have witnessed a very dynamic development of studies on internal displacement. This problem has for the first time become a subject of debate within international institutions and agencies. This book is an introduction to land acquisition problem in India. The development activities induce the growth should be a holistic notion that encompasses the progressive development in the quality of individual’s life in terms of food, clothing and shelter and the environment for a healthy living with rising longevity of life and happiness. In West Bengal the development process reveals the indications and effects of widening inequalities between the “haves‟ and “have-nots‟ and the growing deprivation of the vulnerable and marginalized sectors of the population. There are very small trickle-down effects of the economic development associated with this model of growth. But when it is necessary to undertake development projects that engage the displacement of communities, it is indispensable that these projects obtain the legal permission and support of the people who are affected and that in return for giving up their land and homes they receive priority if not exclusive rights to the benefits emanating from these projects. Research on population displacements caused by natural disasters and long-term environmental changes has nevertheless developed very successfully.

Abstract: This research investigated the extent of policy consistency in Ghana's national urban planning policy documents and development framework. It highlights the role of urban policies in enabling the implementation of sustainable communities. Adopting a qualitative content analysis method, the study analyses strategic alignment of seven policy documents using the PCD framework that focused on five drivers of sustainable communities, namely environmental conservation and resilience, social equity and inclusivity, economic prosperity and innovation, smart urban planning and design, and community engagement and participation. The Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) framework enabled the identification of alignment, fragmentation, and conflict across policy instruments and governance structures. The findings show some degree of policy coherence in promoting land use efficiency, minimising urban sprawl, fostering compact developments, and boosting local economic growth. However, significant gaps persist. These gaps include the absence of explicitly stated institutional mandates for the implementation of MUD, misalignment between urban and transportation policies, and social injustice and exclusion. Furthermore, the study divulges that the cross-referencing of policy documents is inadequate, resulting in disjointed implementation, fragmented development efforts and governance challenges. The study concludes that the inconsistencies in Ghana's national urban policies significantly impede the attainment of sustainable community development prospects.

Abstract: This article examines the relationship between the press, media (in)visibility, and democracy in Mozambique. It traces the historical development of press freedom, from constitutional reforms to the liberalization of media laws, which enabled the rise of independent media and new forms of cultural production. The study focuses on the coverage of the 2024 general elections by selected newspapers and independent television channels, analyzing how political discourse was framed and how public opinion was shaped. By addressing the press as an instrument of interaction, transparency, and rhetorical (in)visibility, the research highlights the ambivalent role of the media: while it contributes to the promotion of democratic ideals, it also exposes contradictions, tensions, and socio-political instabilities within contemporary Mozambican society.
